Changes
What’s new
What changed in each version, in order, written for people — no task numbers and no jargon.
Only what is already live gets in here. Written for the people who use it.
- A new address: Concordia now answers at concordiapp.live. The old address keeps working for now.
- The owner moderates from inside the conversation: move to another room, mute, deafen, disconnect, kick and ban, all from the person menu.
- Settings in three tabs — Voice and video, Sounds and notices, App —, with the close button always in sight.
- New shortcuts: Ctrl + Shift + S to share your screen, Ctrl + Shift + V for the camera, Alt + arrows to walk through channels without joining, and ? for the list.
- Adjustable columns: drag the edge of the channel, people and chat columns. The width is remembered.
- Sharing got simpler: a single button, with sound and quality inside it. The share numbers only show up when you ask for them.
- Chat: the up arrow edits your last message, a button shows how many new messages arrived, and three one-click reactions appear on hover.
- A left click on a name opens the volume — before, only the right button did.
- The floating window follows the person: if your friend stops and starts sharing again, the window fills itself back in.
- Windows app 0.2.1, pointing at the new address.
- Change microphone mid-conversation, without leaving the room.
- Your own screen left the stage: while sharing, you see a compact bar with "LIVE", how many are watching and the buttons to change source and stop.
- Revised wording: less technical jargon and one corrected sentence — you stay signed in on this computer until you click "Leave the server".
- Every voice room has its own conversation. Before, everything landed in the same general channel.
- Real unread marks: a counter in the channel list and the "New messages" line in the conversation, which survives closing the window and changing computers.
- Notifications and mentions: a system notice when a message arrives with the window in the background, and @nickname with a name list and a highlight.
- Emoji reactions on messages.
- Sharper text while sharing: we raised the bandwidth budget of the main picture.
- Images in the chat: paste, drag or use the paperclip.
- Reply, edit and delete messages.
- Five share qualities: Saver, Sharpness, Smoothness, Maximum and Native source.
- Microphone gain and master volume, from 0% to 200%, inside the app.
- A LIVE badge in the channel list, and "N watching" for whoever is sharing.
- The Away room: whoever goes idle is moved to a silent room and comes back with one click.
- Join and leave sounds for the room, and beeps on push to talk.
- Manual microphone sensitivity, with a live meter, for whoever does not like the automatic one.
- Mute one person just for you, without losing the volume you had chosen.
- A draft per channel, emoji with search, and /shrug, /tableflip and /me in the chat.
- The app started updating itself with one click, telling you when a new version is out.
- Concordia stopped touching the Windows microphone volume. Gain is now inside the app only.
- A session that sticks: you sign in once and stay signed in until you click "Leave the server".
- Send a diagnostic report to the owner, with one click, when something goes wrong.
- Start with Windows, optional and off by default.
- Per-person volume, from 0% to 200%, and a floating window for the screen shares.
- Camera in the voice rooms.
- Windows app: push to talk with the game in front, and computer sound along with the screen.
- Sound output picker with a test button.
- Advanced noise suppression, running on your own computer, and discreet interface sounds.
Before that
- The basics stood up: signing in with a nickname and the server password, voice channels showing who is talking, screen sharing, and chat with history.
