What we keep

• Your nickname and the date you first joined.
• An internal identifier, created on your first visit, which ties your messages to you even if you change nickname.
• Your messages and the images you send, until somebody deletes them.
• The date you were last seen, so the member list can show who is away.
• Your internet address (IP), only as long as it is needed for a temporary block, and in the server’s technical logs, which are short-lived.
• If and when signing in with a Google account exists (it is in preparation): the account identifier, the email, the name and the profile picture, only to recognise you when you come back.
• The diagnostic reports you send on purpose, with the "Send a diagnostic report to the owner" button.

What we never keep, under any circumstance

• Voice, screen and camera are not recorded. They pass through the server to reach the others and are not saved.
• We do not keep passwords in readable form. Server passwords are scrambled in a way that cannot be turned back into the original.
• A diagnostic report carries no conversation, no audio recording, no password and no access token.

On your computer

Concordia keeps your session and your preferences in your browser — the microphone you picked, volumes, share quality, column widths. That is what keeps you signed in and puts everything back the way you left it. Leaving the server erases the stored session.

This site: no trackers and a single cookie

This site — the one you are reading now — has no tracker and no audience analytics. It keeps a single functional cookie, called lang, and only if you pick the language by hand in the header or the footer: it stores “pt” or “en”, nothing else, so the site opens in the language you asked for. It is not advertising, it identifies nobody, and it disappears if you clear your browser cookies.

If you never touch the language switch you get no cookie at all: on a first visit the site only looks at the language your browser announces to decide whether to open in Portuguese or in English, and it does not store that.

What for

So that Concordia works: to show who is who, to deliver the conversation, to let you come back without typing everything again, and to let the owner remove someone who is ruining it. Nothing beyond that.

Who we share it with

Nobody. We do not sell, trade or hand anything to an advertiser, a social network or any company. The data sits on the server the owner rents. If the law requires it, he complies with the law — and it is fair that you know that beforehand.

For how long

Messages stay as long as the channel exists or until somebody deletes them. Deleting a channel deletes its messages. Diagnostic reports are discarded after a few weeks. Blocks by internet address expire on their own within a few hours.

How to ask for deletion

Ask the owner in the general chat inside Concordia and say your nickname. He deletes your messages and your record. As there is no sign-up, you are identified by your nickname — if somebody else has used the same one, he will confirm with you first. How to reach the owner.

Who is responsible

Changes

If anything changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it and the notice goes to the general chat.
