Is Concordia free?
For whoever is invited, yes. There is no plan, no charge and no advertising. The server is paid for by one person — the owner — out of pocket.
Do I need to create an account?
No. You pick a nickname and type the server password. No email, no sign-up and no confirmation.
What is the server password?
It is a single password, the same for everyone, that the owner sets and hands to whoever they invite. That is what keeps Concordia private. If the owner changes it, everybody has to sign in again.
Can I sign in with Google?
Not yet. Signing in with a Google account is in preparation and will stay optional: the nickname with the server password is not going away.
Does it work on a phone?
It works in the browser: you can talk, listen, chat and watch your friends’ screens. Sharing your own screen from a phone is not possible — phone browsers do not offer it. There is no phone app.
Do you record the calls?
No. Voice, screen and camera are not recorded anywhere. They pass through the server to reach the others and are not kept.
Who sees my messages?
Everyone who is on the server and opens that channel. There are no private one-to-one conversations in Concordia. Messages are stored on the owner’s server, and the owner has technical access to it.
Can I delete what I wrote?
You can. Deleting a message empties the text on the server and removes its images. The owner can delete messages too. Whoever has read it has read it — and an image somebody already downloaded stays with that person.
Why does Windows say the app is not recognised?
Because the installer has no paid digital signature. Windows is warning you that it does not know the publisher. Click More info and then Run anyway. Whoever prefers not to can use the browser. The step by step is in Installing and updating the app.
Why Beta?
Because it still changes every week and there is no uptime promise. The server can restart without notice and something can break. It is a project among friends, not a service you hired.
How do I suggest something?
Write in the general chat inside Concordia. Almost everything that shows up in What’s new started there.
Can I run my own Concordia server?
Not today. There is a single server, the owner’s. Multiple servers are not part of the Beta.
Do I have to install the app?
No. Everything works in the browser. The Windows app is there for two things: push to talk with the game in front, and sending your computer sound along with the screen.
Why does the sound not go along with my screen?
It depends on the browser. In Chrome and Edge, sharing a tab sends the sound; a whole screen sends the computer sound only on Windows. Firefox and Safari send no sound at all. Details in Sharing your screen with sound.
How many people fit?
Concordia was made for a small group of friends. The owner can set a limit of people per room. Up to four people share their screen at the same time in the same room.
Why did I end up in a room called Away?
Because you spent a while without touching your computer. It is a silent room: nobody talks or listens there. One click brings you back, and the owner chooses the delay (or turns it off).
If my internet drops, do I lose the conversation?
No. A reconnecting notice appears and Concordia tries to return to the same room on its own. Your session stays valid, and the messages that arrived while you were away show up when you return.
Do you use my data for advertising?
No. There is no advertising, there is no tracker and nothing is sold or shared. See the Privacy page.
