App and server

Installing and updating the Windows app

From the download to the tray icon, including the fright Windows gives you the first time.

Installing

  1. On the Download page, click the installer button.

  2. Open the downloaded file.

  3. Windows will say it protected your PC. Click More info and then Run anyway. That happens because the app has no paid digital signature yet.

  4. Finish the installation. If you like, tick start with Windows — it comes unticked.

  5. Open Concordia and sign in with your nickname and the server password, as in the browser.

Using the tray

Concordia keeps an icon next to the clock. It shows whether you are in a room and gives quick access to mute, open the window and quit. Closing the window does not disconnect you from voice.

Updating

  1. When a new version comes out, a discreet bar appears at the top of the app.

  2. Click Download. It downloads in the background.

  3. Click Install and restart. Done.

Nothing is downloaded or installed without those two clicks of yours. On the portable version the notice appears the same way, but you download the new file and replace the old one by hand.

If something goes wrong

The Help menu and the tray icon both have Open the log folder — the app’s technical record on your computer, useful for the owner to investigate.
