App and server

What the owner can do

What the owner can do inside the conversation — and what he cannot.

Concordia has a single owner: whoever pays for the server and set the passwords. He acts with the admin password — being signed in is not enough.

How he takes command

  1. He clicks his own nickname, on the bottom bar.

  2. He picks Take command as owner… and types the admin password.

  3. A shield appears on the bar. From then on, each person’s menu gains an Owner section.

What he can do to someone

  • Move to another room — the person is told and stays connected.
  • Mute on the server — that person’s microphone stays off until the owner gives it back. Leaving and coming back does not undo it.
  • Deafen on the server — the person stops hearing until the owner gives it back.
  • Disconnect from the channel — they leave the voice room, stay connected and can come back.
  • Kick from the server — they land on the sign-in screen. They return with the server password.
  • Ban for a while — it drops all of that person’s devices and blocks their internet address for a few hours.

What he does in the panel

Create, rename, reorder and delete channels; set how many people fit in each room; adjust the sound quality of each room; choose after how many idle minutes somebody goes to the Away room; and change both passwords.
